I agree with LTG (R) Ben Hodges and the NATO Chief that it isn't enough to say we support Ukraine but want them to win. @potus should follow this lead. #StandWithUkraineοΈ
@JRBuckley @sentient_water HOW IS THIS REMOTELY SURPRISING??!? Has everyone forgotten βgrab them by the πββ¬β?? Have we forgotten his comments about dating Ivanka if she wasnβt his daughter??
@UnCoveredMyths My thoughts exactly. Often I feel people are being personal or vulnerable & a β says "Hey someone heard you but I'm not gonna broadcast this OK?"
Also a boost & a β means double like in my book.
On #Juneteenth weekend, Governor Greg Abbott vetoed a new registry that could have improved outcomes for sickle cell disease patients. The bill's sponsor called the move βpetty, bullshit #politics.ββ

I'm curious why does mastodon (& I assume the Fediverse) not really use or value stars β? I've had it explained that they don't do anything (then why have them?) But more to the point would you eat at a place that had ZERO stars β on TripAdvisor?
Russiaβs strike on Kramatorsk city center kills at least 9 people, including 3 children

@its-sal @actuallyautistic @retronautickz @hosford42 Funny how trans rights has become a sort of "canary" topic to check whether somebody is problematic in a lot of other ways as well. Seems often to be the case.
@actuallyautistic @actuallyautistics I've had insomnia for a long time, but my insomnia progressively required more and more support. My problems were cranked to 11 with my cancer. Nothing worked (medicine, therapy, blah blah blah) until I got a new bed, but I still have periods that are less than optimal or flat out bad. I don't mean one odd bad night. It is more like a week or more.
One thing I've noticed is that my needs appear to change. I'm fine with hugging my squishmallow, then I have to stop or I cannot sleep. I'm fine with white noise, then I have to stop using white noise, or I cannot sleep. I'm fine with my ears free from earplugs, then I have to use earplugs or I can't sleep.
It is maddening mainly due to the trial and error aspect of it.
Is it something that other autistic people experience?
How long does it take my #ActuallyAutistic comrades to recover from traveling somewhere away from home?

My boss: With the termination of [douchey marketing guy] I might need to ask you to help with some of the things he did.
My brain: *he did stuff besides yelling at everyone for not using the exact hex codes from our branding guide?*
My mouth: Sure
Can't wait to see what this is going to entail. Will I be the one to finally unravel the mysteries of what we paid that guy to do for 15 years?
Today marks the 54th anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion. 54 years ago, members of the LGBTQ+ protested for our right to be seen, heard, and protected. It was a moment in time that forever transformed the gay liberation movement.

@lilithsaintcrow I feel like this falls deeper into self-parody the longer they try this line of complaint.
Ten years ago whiny boys were screeching that someone had "ruined their childhood" and you want to stop and ask "Oh no, did someone interfere with your relationship with your parents or friends? Did you discover someone you trusted was abusive?"
"No!" they cry back, "He re-made a cartoon I used to watch, in a way that was slightly different!!!"

Smuggling... uh, *couriering* grains from asteroid Ryugu to CitΓ© de l'espace in France. They will be on public display from this autumn!
Do I look IMMENSELY HAPPY to be handing over that case in Toulouse? Let's talk about the behind the scenes adventure... π¦ πββοΈ

The most important political economic Q. for the UK right now is how deep a #recession is the #BoE (& by extension the #Tories) prepared to engineer to 'tame inflation'?
As usual, those paying the price to reduce inflation, through the #Costoflivingcrisis & a descent into #poverty, are not the same people saying the 'price is worth paying'.
Using only #interestrates to deal with inflation is a political choice taken by those who have a clear notion of how to protect the interests of the rich!
