@voron This is so disgusting!
"The group stormed into the Watertown area and began loudly chanting while making
Nazi salutes.
They could be heard repeatedly belting out "There will be blood, blood, blood," as well as "pedophiles get the rope" and "no pedos in our streets"

Anti-trans Nazi hate - by homocons
If you think the anti-drag laws don't target trans lives, look at the signs used against Watertown, WI Pride.
"No child is born in the wrong body" Signs brought by people standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Swastika-flag-waving Nazis.
Guess what? If you're on the same side as the Nazis, you're a Nazi. Being gay with it just makes you a gay Nazi. If you agree with this YOU ARE NOT IN MY TRIBE.
Remember that the women across the border have already thought about you needing a place to stay if you need to flee for reproductive health care. We have your back. #prochoice #abortionishealthcare

You'll often hear Black folk refer to this as "One way solidarity."
The ironic thing, is that is more marginalized groups took the issues of Black voters more seriously, we would already have made progress on these other issues. π€·πΏββοΈ
The path to solidarity is not in telling Black voters to suck it up but in prioritizing the issues that are most important to them. Because like I've said many times, racism is just fascism practiced on Black people first.
Sea wolves are a unique breed of #wolf found in the Great Bear Rainforest along the Pacific Coast of #Canada. Swimming between islands like fish, they are genetically distinct from their inland cousins, or from wolves in any other part of the world. (ph and text Ian McAllister)

I've been trying to find the right way to articulate this-- but the folks on the right have it backwards about who is driven by "white guilt" --
This impulse to cover up and distort the history of slavery reeks of shame. It's, frankly, weird. Nobody has perfect ancestors, what sort of crisis of identity leads one to lie about the past.
It's just the things that happened. You learn about them you learn from them. You do better. Don't make it so emotional and personal.
Hi Fediverse! I have #CommisionsOpen for a very small, very niche, very FREE run of momento moris. I paint tiny memorials for people lost to Alzheimer's/dementia. Give me a small consumer good that reminds you of your loved one and I will paint it on a paper mache seed bomb full of forget-me-not seeds. Suitable for framing or planting, whatever feels right. I'm taking ten FREE submissions through EOY. Details/form here. http://www.kaseysmith.net/memory-seed-bombs #mastoart #artistsonmastodon #AlzheimersAwareness
@ScottSoCal weβve managed to get a good deal here in the UK. I donβt think people realise how much they have come down in price.
@ScottSoCal iβd love to be able to put solar on our roof, but weβre end of terrace and I fear we have very little roof space actually the right way. But for those that can, I think this is absolutely the way to go.
@ScottSoCal If we relied on her reviews, I think we'd be at 1.5 stars. "Food good quality, but portion sizes small, dessert especially. Staff not as attentive as they should be, and over-react to normal things like muddy feet and shedding."
This is how you sign "Mastodon" in Finnish sign language. Kudos to my deaf wife @mustikkasoppa β€οΈ #SignLanguage #FinnishSignLanguage #Viittomakieli
She is supremely dissatisfied that third breakfast is not segueing neatly into dinner. It is not even noon. #DogsOfMastodon #husky
For the past year Iβve been in a quandary about my petrol powered car. Iβve had it since 2 months before the kids were born and the repairs are getting more expensive.
We walk to the city (itβs only 15 minutes away!) but I drive to get to work which has moved to a business park out of the city.
Realistically with two 8 year olds and a job, I canβt live without a carβ¦much as I would like to.
So today Iβm buying a used electric car. Itβs the least worst thing I can do right nowβ¦
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
