Actually... if I became the dumbest person in the world, without actually losing ANY intelligence, that would probably get us a lot closer to an ideal world.
The first positronic (or similarly-capable) brain would be invented in a week. R. Daneel Olivaw would exist a decade from now, and the human population would be down to 5 billion via voluntary (not even government-sponsored social programs, and definitely no laws about it) reduced procreation.

Still wouldn't even after being connected via Ethernet. I think her parents have gotten a new one by now that works a lot better.
@trwnh @turbodragon
Depends on the router and printer for me. The one at home took maybe three minutes, while my ex-girlfriend's took over an hour and still wouldn't work reliably.

@squirrel @noelle
Aww, that's so adorable...
Third person in three days to get like that because of being complimented in a conversation I was in.
First two were because I and someone else were calling the person cute.
Of course, my assumption is that you're cute too, but I don't know because all I have to go on is a 16-bit style character icon.
*blink blink*
It's strange... In real life, I'm the computer genius, who knows how to do things my friends, family, and strangers haven't even heard of. But here and on Elekk, I feel like a nitwit compared to people like @squirrel and @noelle.
Even stranger, even though I take pride in my intelligence (despite my severe mental health issues), and calling me "stupid" is a near-unforgivable insult, I'm fine being the relative moron. Maybe I like being around people smarter than me.
@lizardsquid
But it sounded like a bad thing. You're a cute, sexy, really good lizard.
@lizardsquid
What lizard? (Besides you.)
@Canageek
Ok, but keep in mind that if you've got new players (like I was), chances are they want to actually play the game, and they'll expect to play and not just talk. At the absolute least, you owe it to them to tell them that not a lot of playing will get done.

The math of things helps NTSC and ATSC because 30/60 frames per second and the common denominator of 6, though some people end up noticing it in the form of perceived (but not actual) speedup.
Of course, because PAL is obsolete now (being an analog broadcast format) and TVs can do 60Hz, the problem is theoretically moot. (Though probably still a thing in reality.)

Reminds me of the locker room at Planet Fitness.
@Canageek
Speaking as a person who only had one or two sessions (WoW PnP):
Commit to actually PLAYING the game. A little real world social talk is fine, but the game I played was ruined by everyone doing nothing but.
The DM brought in a dragon to town to punish them. Exactly one player died: me. Neither the DM nor I tried playing with them again.

@lizardsquid
(Also how long before I just NOPE out of this because it means I can't hug and cuddle and kiss you any more. *snicker*)

What keeps going wrong?

@lizardsquid
You're allowed to listen to me about what I need and provide that, right?
@lizardsquid
So, what does your project need a human for?
@lizardsquid
Oops. I accidentally copied @catoutofbed@octodon.social. *tiny laugh*
On rare occasion, a cat that looks like my emblem (avatar image) when curled up in a a ball.
Sometimes a Nobody.
Usually a bisexual human male, half-Filipino, half-white, with manic depression and a severe need for affection and validation. (Some of which I get here, yay!)

I think I'm poly? Yeah, I'm poly.
Maybe gender fluid? Still figuring things out.
