Fifth and last for now, Another Irish Drinking Song by Da Vinci's Notebook
youtube.com/watch?v=zJG7CIqLo9
I just love this a capella group, but they've since disbanded.
This song was used in Despicable Me 2, hiding adult humor right in plain sight, with the lyrics being about how everybody died, including an 80-year-old dying due to being REALLY turned on by his new, young wife.

Fourth, If I Had $1,000,000 by the Barenaked Ladies
youtube.com/watch?v=dmoDc3RwrM
One of Canada's biggest and best bands, certainly the biggest indie from that country.
BNL, before the departure of Steve Page, was a very jovial band that put jokes everywhere but weren't a comedy band. They're still really good, but not so funny anymore.
I put a live video here because each show is unique, despite being the same song.

Third, Black Fire by DragonForce.
youtube.com/watch?v=m9VkXPzLLd
Featured as the artists of the superboss song (Through the Fire and Flames) in Guitar Hero III, I just love DragonForce. I chose Black Fire from Valley of the Damned specifically because, in part of it, they cover the opening music from the game Double Dragon.
(In case you didn't know yet, and I think I haven't yet made it that obvious on this instance, video games are a BIG thing with me.)

@BatElite
Second, Party in the CIA by "Weird Al" Yankovic. (Original song: Party In The U.S.A. by Miley Cyrus)
youtube.com/watch?v=C-CG5w4YwO
The most popular parody musician in the US, probably the world. Some musicians consider themselves to have "made it" in the industry when Weird Al parodies them.
Music video instead of album.

@BatElite
First, Rydeen by Yellow Magic Orchestra, from 1979's Solid State Survivor.

Basically, YMO is the godfather of Japanese video game music, inspiring many, if not most, Japanese game musicians.
Track 5 of the album, Behind the Mask, was years later covered and given lyrics by Michael Jackson.

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
Believe me, I know therapy doesn't work for everybody. For me, I personally feel that I need to get out of my current life situation (living with parents/brother, no job, no prospects) and stay out for a while before therapy can start to work.

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
I'm not thinking about this with the mindset of getting therapy working. I specifically said psychiatrist: the mental health doctor that prescribes medications.
If you can convince him that HRT will help your depression, your mother may be more likely to go along with it.

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
Ok, then, in case YOU destroy it in depression or fear or frustration.

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
By the way, if any advice I give sounds, with logical thought (not emotional thought), like it's a bad idea, maybe it is. (After all, I'm not all well in the mind either.)

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
I know it'll be difficult, but I suggest going to the psychiatrist again.
But first, get what you need to say down on paper and take it in with you. (Typing it down and printing that is fine; it's what I'd do, personally.)
The less you have to say with speech while you're there, the less stressful it will be.
What's wrong, why it's wrong. Most importantly, why HRT will help with a lot of it.
Oh, make copies and secure them in case your mom decides to destroy them.

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
Heh. She'd fit right in though.
I don't think your situation is hopeless, by the way. Just keep trying new tactics. But still never let up.
Has she tried to get you to go to therapy or a psychiatrist yet?

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
Oh god... she sounds Filipino. (That is, like my mom, and her sisters, and pretty much all of my Filipino friends' mothers.)
Keep bringing it up. Don't ever let up. You have to pick and choose your battles with your mom, I'm guessing. Pick this one. Definitely pick this one.

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
Ok... that really fucking sucks. I know the clueless parent(s) bit rather well... but having a real ability to affect your life directly is less familiar to me.
And I assume you told her that not getting HRT is the direct cause of your depression?

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
So she has the ACTUAL ability to prevent you from getting the treatment?

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
Ah. Well. That's something different... I have to ask, then: how does your mother prevent you from getting treatment?

HRT, -

@SilviaFox
*offers hug*
Doctors always think they know best, always in spite of their patients.
Sure, when it comes to physical health, they probably do.
But mental health? Very few of them know anything... Assholes, the lot.

@SilviaFox
Nyau... Is there any way I can help you? Maybe be distracting? Or provide hugs? Or talk about stuff?

Annoyed Win10 fanboy, profanity

Windows 10 has been out for a few years now. Why the fuck is NOBODY writing apps to take advantage of the platform? Everybody's doing their own thing and making everything incompatible with everything else.
Like the fucking People Hub. Are there even any apps out there that use it, besides built-in ones and Skype?
Or the Action Center. I don't want Chrome notifications, dammit Google! USE THE DAMN OS FEATURES!

rent-an-enbie, affectionate, lewd, silly (but also kinda serious)

@squishylizard
Ooh. This is interesting. I like it. I will consider this offer.
