I would like to play , a myth-mashup, alt-history , which I own pretty much everything of.
Buuuut, the game assumes that you play as Victorian English-people (and their European allies and foes) who go around to all the colonies where they link up with other colonizers to fight mythological (often indigenous) evil...
I need to think of a way to turn this on it's head... while still having white European players... πŸ˜“

I know the pictures aren't actually in my bathroom. My bathroom is a mess, so I took the picture somewhere else.
I also took time to shave my face and brush my hair. Because I'm vain πŸ˜‰

INT. TOBI'S APARTMENT - BATHROOM - DAY

TOBI stands in front of their sink and bathroom mirror, shaving the left side of their head while perfectly lipsyncing DAFT PUNK'S "HARDER BETTER FASTER STRONGER".

Now mind you, my hair will be a lot fluffier once it's dry!

except for the two topmost keys on the right, which are green (labeled "START") and red (labeled "STOP"). Under they key block is a lot of case with nothing on it, making the keyboard very large. (Finished)

The letter and number keys are white, labeled in black with a geometric looking old-school font. The keys surrounding the letters (except for ~) are black with white labels, including the space bar which flanked by a "RESET" key on the left, and "ALT" and "ENTER" on the right. The two 2x4 blocks on the left and right are black with either white or yellow labeling, (continued)

Under the black area is the actual keyboard, it consists of two 2x4 key blocks and a mostly regular QWERTY block in between those. (continued)

on the right there are three IBM blue switches, below that two dials, the upper one with a weird mushroom-shape on it, and the lower one with a sun symbol; centered at the bottom there are three small lines lines of text, the upper and lower ones are printed white on black, the center line is hand-written on a piece of tape, they are all just numbers. Under the monitor is a keyboard which is the same width as the monitor. (continued)

Anybody want to figure out what that would sound like? πŸ˜‚

It's apparently also "precision machined to fit any 3.5mm audio jack or aux-in port".

Privacy and Mastodon!

Remember, that anything you post to Mastodon, including private posts and DMs, is technically visible to the admins of your instance and the instances of people you tag in those posts.

It's not that there's an easy page to view the toots. Just that it's there for someone that wants to dig into the database enough to find them.

Be cautious not to share sensitive information!

capitalism / the law

always remember "punishable with a fine" means "legal for rich people"

I have no idea how it works exactly, and I doubt it's federated or scales well, but it might be worth a look?

(traditional) tabletop roleplaying

in response to a question about a problematic player:

"We had to explain the social contract of traditional RPGs to him.

There are a few things expected of all PCs:

β€£ PCs are expected to get along to some degree
β€£ PCs will (in the gross majority of cases) not willfully act against the party
β€£ PCs generally give other PCs the benefit of the doubt
β€£ PCs will buy-in (to the game and the collective story)"

pshhh... it's me again.

If you like, pay attention to your next breath. Don't do anything to it, just observe how it feels at the tip of your nose. Is it deep? shallow? short? long? energetic? lethargic?

What ever it is that's fine. Observe 10 more. Try to focus on your breathing without changing it.

Your mind will wander off instantly, that's ok. Just return to you breath.

If you need some grounding throughout the day, that's what you can do for yourself. All you need is you.

Amidst the chaos, kids, co workers, loudness, stillness. You are not alone. You have got your breath with you all the time.

Enjoy your β˜•

@ckeen ... I never feel breath at the tip of my nose 😦
It's completely out of the path of the air /o\
I like paying attention to how my chest and shoulders rise and fall, though! :blobshh:
