Read an article about Mastdon, and then made the mistake of reading the comments. One of them can be paraphrased as such:
"The problem with federated systems is that one admin can quickly become a dictator, in centralized systems you at least have accountability!"

I just woke up and vividly remember my last dream.
I was fooling around with a cute, androgynous person who was telling me - in between moans and gasps - about a new Ocarina of Time glitch that allowed them to become the fastest Zelda speedrunner in the world.
