insert video of archer going "CAUSE THAT'S HOW YOU GET ANTS" here

Show thread

Damn it, it's ants season again.

Had to throw away a box of donuts cause I bit into a donut and tasted ant. Blech.

@squirrel Cloth Map did a video that covered this, but clearly from an outsider's POV.

Regrettably they do talk about the Mega Drive clones very briefly.

Realizing we were out of soda, we stop at a nearby grocery store and buy things we need.

Like potato chips. And brownie bites. And mini cinnamon rolls.

You know, the essentials. :blobwink:

I think I need to make more quality content™️ on this.

Or at least not look like I'm constantly sleeping all the time

@squirrel oh gosh, I'm sorry. *hugs*

didn't watch the nintendo direct but I heard there's an octoling campaign in splatoon 2 and that made me happy because octolings are better than squids.

work sucks

Something tells me I need to raid the discount Blu-ray rack the next time I go to the store in case this ever happens again.

Always helps to have "offline" entertainment anyhow.

I also realized during this internet outage that whoa, I don't have a lot of "offline" stuff in my house. Not a lot of movies, very few games installed that aren't on Steam.

I ended up watching Safe House, an action-thriller starring Patrick Stewart as a paranoid ex-soldier in an overly protected house, which was pretty good.

The other film I watched, After the Sunset, was a mediocre heist film that I honestly tuned out about halfway through.

The replacement cable is now wired around the floor, wrapped around the door frames, and a hole drilled through it to the mdeom.

The hole is a bit sloppy and there's a bit of excess cable, but christ it looks better than it did previously, that's for sure.

Show thread

When I was removing the old cable, I saw so many kinks and bends in the cables that I'm amazed we got *any* stable internet connection.

Clearly this was installed by an amateur. Or someone desperate to go home, either way.

Show thread

So a year or so back I upgraded to a new internet/TV package that was Quite A Steal™️ at the time.

The schmuck who wired the ethernet cables did it in a sloppy, "get it done so I can get out of here" sort of way: Sticking it on the ceiling, leaving giant gaps near corners, and wrapping it around the door jamb instead of drilling a hole through it.

That is likely the reason why my internet stopped working at 1:30AM last night.

Show thread

Today was quite a day.

Changed TV providers, fixed a year-long cable issue with my ISP...

Now I am content with relaxing.
