I like foobar2000, it's my usual go-to program for listening to most of my music that doesn't use proprietary formats.

But that program has a lot of quirks that I struggle to understand from any UI perspective.

Would love it if I search something in Foobar2000 that it doesn't wipe out my meticulously set 1100+ song playlist.

Typing out the title in the playlist window seems to be a more reliable search anyhow.

*toot, toot, toot* ATTENTION, THIS ANNOUNCEMENT SYSTEM NOW UNDER MILITARY COMMAND

It's weird when I get into random urges to know about something that in the grand scheme of things doesn't really matter.

Perhaps if I wasn't socially awkward, I could mention these dumb interesting things during a party or something.

@maple ah, right:

The original was "Verde e Amarelo" by Roberto Carlos, changed to "Eén kopje koffie" by VOF de Kunst, before getting an english translation as "One Cup of Coffee" performed by Paul Shaffer.

...I probably should've just posted the text file I wrote as a bunch of toots instead. :blobtongue:

I'm gonna boost my music rabbit hole experience from yesterday to show what I found out to more than a single person.

@maple I'm just imagining your sona in that Sonic the Hedgehog-esque logo with wings thing now

@maple a short version: notable brazilian musician makes pop song about the country's flag and people, dutch people rewrite song to be about coffee instead, somebody gets it translated into english.

@ruxnor no no, it's something more complicated than that.

what to do when you find some stupid bit of musical trivia that involves a mid-80s song from Brazil that got the lyrics changed by a Dutch band, then got translated into English...

This is what my stupid trivia-riddled brain likes to do a lot. :blobupsidedown:

Framerates in games

Watching a video of someone playing Sonic CD in super fast speed reminded me of a video I saw of someone complaining about a Need for Speed title being locked to 30fps on PC.

I'm okay with capped framerates, going beyond your monitor's refresh rate seems unnecessary to me. :blobtongue:

@KitRedgrave@cybre.space awesome.

Naturally your character's super-cute, as always ❤️

@Xkeeper never got why the hell people jack up the prices on repros like that.

Retro game cons are *especially* egregious for that shit.
