For some reason this reminds me of the time when somebody joined TCRF to pimp his dumb video review on a game on said game's article and got banned for it.

Then the staff dug a bit deeper and turns out he was basically one of those SEO marketing dirtbags.

Bonus annoyance: The host (and said friend) is clearly going full hog on the "podcast network" bandwagon.

Like when the Feral Audio fiasco happened, he was subtly hinting at shows from there to come to his network.

It just feels like SEO brand garbage and it makes me ill.

Even ignoring the co-host change, the quality has taken a significant dip. It's a bummer, really.

This is primarily because the main host had a falling out with one of his previous co-hosts for doing a more popular podcast (with Dana Snyder) so he decided to get a new host and resume as if nothing really happened.

The new co-host ain't bad but the only reason I used to listen to the show was because of the previous co-host.

I'm listening to a friend's podcast whom I've been listening to for years and there's lots of problems about it that annoys me.

Hearing background noises (people drinking out of glasses), people's audio quality varies, 2+ minute long intros/outros, bad transitions to commercials...

The last few episodes had audible Skype notification sounds.

I wanna say to him "dude your podcast kinda sucks and needs improvement" but I'm not that harsh.

In the middle of the night while being sick I was listening to corny nu-metal from the early 2000s.

Now I got a portion of Nookie stuck in my head. Like a chump.

Controversial opinion: crispix is better than chex

Suddenly started thinking about that time Axl Rose asked for some reggae.

The thing I did was "ate a Cinnabon." I don't know how to replace a watch battery and I have no reason to buy a P-trap.

I don't know *why* this is the thing that comes to mind but here you go.

Today I have done one of the three things Hank Hill does while Peggy plays in that Boggle tournament.

I keep getting cocky as I progress through levels in Deus Ex and that leads me to dying and my last save being like several minutes ago.

Screw that, I ain't got time to redo all that.

AGDQ's coming up and I feel conflicted.

Man I wish I could enjoy speedruns these days but unless we weed out the assholes amongst the community they're just gonna get worse. SGDQ was pretty bad at that.

I mean, it's a problem when the #1 rule of watching a GDQ is "don't read the Twitch chat."

@KS Like last year there was a North American Speedrunning event that was smaller but had nothing but edgelords and people doing dumb memes like it was 4chan culture and it was garbage.

Bonus: Some of the runners were people who got banned from GDQ for being dumbasses during it.

@KS I get what you mean, but sadly when you're as big as GDQ is now, you're basically covering your own ass the entire event so you don't piss off sponsors or the charity.

A more "friendlier" gathering would have to be a smaller event, but that leads to the edgelord problem you mentioned.

birdsite, slurs, twitch chat on gdq

Seems to counter the subscription stuff, someone just rebroadcasted AGDQ just so you can relive the shitty Twitch chat experience without paying.

why someone would want to do this is beyond me.

Thought there was some local meetup thing today but there apparently isn't.

Man, I was hoping to head out today :/

On more amusing news, I got a spam email about some lottery and I was supposed to email it to a guy named John Freeman.
