idea: we are number one but with goose honks

gamers, gamergate-related

It amazes me people are still going after zoe quinn.

Why can't ~gamers~ get a better hobby? I suggest playing video games.

Been pondering for the past day if there's any interest in me talking about this dumb light gun I got a week ago.

I wanna write something quick so I have a post written for the blog this month, and the other ideas I have might take a while to do research.

Totally forgot that The B-52's Channel Z is a goddamn bop

Totally didn't know flying windows wasn't on my machine. Changed that pretty quick.

Thanks to my genius idea of having that Twitch stream of Doom speedruns running while I sleep, my monitor now has minor burn-in of my Firefox icons.

Perhaps now is the time to go back to using screensavers.

fallen down a rabbit hole of watching videos of old 70s synthesizers because I was trying to pinpoint a certain sound I heard in a song.

why does everybody have to be so far away

I just wanna hold and hug those who aren't doing so well just so they feel better :blobfrown:

can someone make a skateboard mod for untitled goose game and call it "tony honk"

I seem to ramble a lot about music, especially about ridiculous trash trivia nobody else would really care about

music ramblings (continued)

by the way, the original Mambo No. 5 is better than Lou Bega's sampled pop "cover."

If you want the version Bega used, hunt down "Big Hits by Prado." Also features Mambo No. 8, featured in Office Space!

Listening to Lou Bega's "A Little Bit of Mambo."

It's a strange album that alternates between being pop with excess sampling and sounding like classic mambo.

"I Got a Girl" sounds like him trying to make an immediate follow-up to "Mambo No. 5" and it sounds hokey. They both start with a countdown before he starts to sing!

I wasn't expecting anything amazing beyond his signature song "Mambo No. 5," and I was right. It's just so bizarre.

tests are showing computer levels at 96%

Epic decided to send me an email for the free Lego Batman games today rather than when I got them two days ago.

You know, usually when I buy things from a digital storefront, I get a confirmation email literally moments after I hit purchase.

Thanks for making me panic, Epic.

Love to follow people who get annoyed at professional film critics because they didn't like the new Rambo movie.

The concept of a "difference of opinion" seems foreign to these people.

In the many years I've been buying dumb stuff, buying an original Xbox light gun is probably on the top of the dumbest purchasing decisions I made.

But hey, impulse thrift store purchase! $7 for something I might use, like, once. :blobwoah:

Reposting from birdsite:

With all the Sonic fanart I've seen, I think Sega should go back to Sonic's roots and have him promoting shoes like he did in Sonic Adventure 2.

I'd totally buy a pair of sneakers that were patterned like Sonic's shoes.

Ric Ocasek's passing has made me realize I haven't listened to The Cars beyond the first album and a few 80s hits, and I never listened to any of his solo or production work.

...Where the hell do you start on that front

I always feel bad when I don't post much of anything.

Admittedly the past week has been mostly sleeping, slowly prodding through house stuff, and playing junk like Master Levels for Doom II and Duke Nukem 3D: Attrition.
