I kept hammering on about the "human element" as something that's critical to art that AI cannot at all replicate, and his answer is always "well it'll get better at it!"
It's like he doesn't understand the point of creating something.
AI bullshit
my dad has been watching stock market shit and believing all the schmucks who go on CNBC and say AI is the future.
he even said to me "you're gonna be stuck in the past writing thousands of words when an AI can summarize what you do better and faster"
even when telling him how it's already devastated several industries ("well they're just gonna have to adapt!") he doesn't get it
played one level of Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes and I want to know who at n-Space thought having Duke control like it's a Tomb Raider game was a good idea
this thought coming from the fact that I have Prodigy's Fat of the Land and Propellerheads' Decksandrumsandrockandroll next to each other in my MP3 playlist, heh
