Every once in a while I come back to here to see how folks are doing if I don't already follow them elsewhere.

That's the unfortunate thing about the internet: It brings folks together yet at the same time can quickly scatter everyone to the point where you lose contact with some folks.

It's a bummer, really.

briefly poking my head back in to give an update on where things have been going.

after struggling with gender stuff, I finally sought HRT in 2021 and started on it in September. It's... been quite a whirlwind.

I'm still writing stuff on my blog. I'm still on birdsite, I'm doing okay.

hope y'all are doing well.

Brief update: I'm just gonna lurk and occasionally like stuff on the fediverse and use mastodon less.

I already have a modest following and community elsewhere, and mastodon just feels like it *exists* to me. That combined with a certain recent event has given me less incentive to stay here.

Thus I'm just gonna stick to other social media places instead of trying to stay on a platform I don't care much for these days.

starting to think supporting the wild wings is a wasteful effort

they're a team that's mostly forgotten among the proceedings, and even my idol is probably in the top 200 or whatever.

but I feel guilty if I started supporting another team and idol now, so

Finally got a chance to try that modern Bethesda port of Doom.

It's alright! Not the way I'd personally play it, but hey, it works for those who don't wanna futz around with GZDoom and such

On a discord server, we were talking about the Doom ports and eventually conversations got around to talking about the 3DO port.

Suddenly I have a tab open of Rebecca Heineman talking about the horrors of making that port happen.
