today i released version 3.5 of webgbcam, my web app that simulates a game boy camera!
current features:
- settable gamma/contrast
- settable palette from curated selection
- settings are kept for the next session (new!)
- record 5-second gif
- 3-second timer to frame your shot
- swap between front and back cameras on mobile
- tweak camera settings after taking a shot
- hide the UI & use it as a window capture for streams!

Every once in a while I come back to here to see how folks are doing if I don't already follow them elsewhere.
That's the unfortunate thing about the internet: It brings folks together yet at the same time can quickly scatter everyone to the point where you lose contact with some folks.

i'll tell you this: mastodon is a hell of a welcoming place when PoC on twitter have been talking about for a whole month how it has a whiteness problem and i, as a latina mentally ill person, have been ousted from running my own public instance two years ago
that's all I want you to internalize and think about. not the pointing of fingers, but the fact about who is here and who refuses to be.

briefly poking my head back in to give an update on where things have been going.
after struggling with gender stuff, I finally sought HRT in 2021 and started on it in September. It's... been quite a whirlwind.
I'm still writing stuff on my blog. I'm still on birdsite, I'm doing okay.
hope y'all are doing well.
Brief update: I'm just gonna lurk and occasionally like stuff on the fediverse and use mastodon less.
I already have a modest following and community elsewhere, and mastodon just feels like it *exists* to me. That combined with a certain recent event has given me less incentive to stay here.
Thus I'm just gonna stick to other social media places instead of trying to stay on a platform I don't care much for these days.
