Here is a #transformation sequence by @Visceraaa@twitter.com of me turning into a #werewolf. She purposely made the final stage look like it was illuminated by the flashlights of unlucky soon-to-be prey. Fantastic horror vibes, and absolute creature and gender euphoria.

My final long run is complete! I spent six hours today trying not to get destroyed by the Arizona sun at Saguaro Park East. My goal was to stay at my race pace, which I accomplished. I made it to marathon distance. A 50K was within reach, and I was on pace to get a 75 minute PR for the distance, but it would have been greedy and unwise. I’m proud of how I’ve trained for this upcoming race, and I’m ready to enjoy two weeks of taper! #trailrunning #ultratraining

The vibes got extremely fucked this afternoon so I put on a nice outfit and went outside to the parking lot BBQ the other tenants were hosting, had a beer, and was generally visible as a #trans woman around a bunch of 60- and 70-year old snowbirds. Everyone was very cool and I looked good as fuck. Any time I am wearing Wolford tights I feel so good I could jump-kick the damn sun.

In 2019 I ran Buckin' Hell, a brutal 30k mountain race. I finished bloody, dusty, ahead of my goal time, elated. Then, that night, it was time to eat back some of the burned calories. Shame about the torn Coast Mountain tank top.

Today I ran the Bear Creek Loop in Arizona's Pusch Ridge Wilderness. 18 miles, 3,000 feet of climb (and descent), 10 recently-flooded water crossings (including two that went up to my hips), 5 hours 53 minutes.

Incredible views, a howl in the wilderness, ice in the sun, the Arizona Trail, a helicopter fly-by, switchbacks forever, no shortcuts. An absolute blast.
