@mavica_again you are a robot and that is important and true and this is known

some people speak like online isn't "IRL" and i feel sorry for them but we live here and don't really need their attitude in the community

A friend proposed an extension to the ending that I like: Mazey’s not dead because the bullets weren’t silver. Coroner pronounces her dead and then she revives and stealthily sneaks out to a new, anonymous life, managing her “curse” and living outside the limelight

@mward it had some kind of predictable things to say about how ruinous paparazzi can be, and I was annoyed by how cowardly and self-serving the protagonist was in the end. Like, who is going to believe those photos are real? The same powerful guy who put Mazey up and got her that “doctor” is going to disappear her and the photos pronto. So what’s the point

@mward I appreciate that! I saw the transformation scene before anything else thanks to some like-minded friends, and it was good (if heartbreaking) to see the rest of the episode. She was beautiful.

@mavica_again i would watch this live for the duration and also yell at everyone i know about it

@mavica_again keep up with the puns and y ou'll be serving all right, serving time in an MST3K clone where a robot, a werewolf, a dog and a capybara all have to watch YouTube tech videos from 15 years ago

you know when you've sprained your ankle badly and you take a week off to let it heal and it stops hurting but you know you can't fully trust it because it's not actually healed yet? that's me and my brain

It can’t be good for my psyche to identify so completely with a type of character who is consistently framed as a gruesome, pitiable tragedy

Show thread

I saw Mazey Day last night. She was so beautiful. I’m still sad about it this morning.

@alexcox I watched Mazey Day and I have a lot to say, about pecan pie, wasted opportunities, and goats. I’d be happy to discuss on or off the air. Lemme know!

Transitioning saved me from a lot of bad things, but worst of all was the threat of living the rest of my life as a guy who wanted to make a web comic about web developers and call it "View Source"
