i'm looking for work. if you know anyone who needs someone with 8+ years professional experience plumbing nearly any sort of bespoke tech, talk to me.
Twitter functioned as an emotion absorber/reflector/refractor/amplifier/outlet for a lot of people for a long time. Replacements doesn’t work quite the same. You find yourself without a firstline coping mechanism. It’s ultimately a healthy reset but it can be hard. You’re adjusting to sitting with yourself more and re-learning other ways of managing what bubbles up all the time. I think it’s profoundly healthy, surprisingly challenging.
I can imagine it being excruciatingly difficult for some.
I’m 31 minutes into @atpfm episode 515 and I’m already anticipating next episode's follow-up about the tidal wave of justifiably furious feedback (and hopefully polite education) that @marcoarment receives from artists in the show's audience. Scraping art from the internet to use as training data for AIs is repugnant, scammy, and harmful to artists, and it surprises me to hear someone with such a strong sense of fairness and justice come out in support of it.
@alexcox to pre-empt potential questions:
1) I took that photo during a trail race (this is a climb called “Galactic Scheisse”)
2) I live in London, Ontario, Canada, not the London on the Bad European Island
3) I express my queer tackiness through rainbow gradients
fitness
Conditions outside are too cold and windy for me to want to run much, to say nothing of the monster drifts of powder that would turn things into a slog right away. And yet, I have my first 60km race in less than two months, so training is essential. Thankfully my coach gave me only two easy 1hr runs this weekend, which are simple enough to tackle with #Zwift and my treadmill. #running #ultratraining
Enjoying some quality time out in the blizzard. We got less snow than I’d hoped, but the wind is something else. #ontariostorm
werewolf thoughts, self-directed gore, positive
I want to get a werewolf bite on my left shoulder, hard enough to sustain a minor collarbone fracture to go with the arc of deep puncture wounds. I want to know that by its very nature, the bite is going to heal itself within a few days, and then do so much more.
