I have no idea whether I caught the cold, the flu, or the covid, but one of them has knocked me down.
So far, my symptoms feel like a milder version of the "just a flu" I had in '19 that stole my sick leave, stole my voice, stole my sleep, stole my hair (a patch of it permanently), and very nearly stole my life. Very achy, but milder than that so far. Also, everything still smells exactly like it should and as strongly as it should.
Oh no! Get well soon! I hope it just a cold but those can be brutal too.

Face masks don't do enough to stop you from catching bugs, but they were never designed to.
They're very effective in stopping you from *spreading* bugs. That's what they're designed to do. That's why you need to wear one when you're sick, you think you're sick, or you have to be out and about in an outbreak.
Don't give your microscopic bugs to friends. Wear a mask.
