For a website now long gone, I made the 403 error page by taking a Forbidden Planet movie poster, word-arting "forbidden file" over it, & captioning it, "Uh oh, skipper, you upset Doctor Morbius."

Just a quick PSA. Remember, when you see someone post news articles on Mastodon regardless of who is posting it there is a significant chance that it is either fake, or the information in it is mostly wrong. If you see an interesting story in a post, research it. I don't care if it's from your mother, I don't care if it's from your best friend, I don't care if it's from "a guaranteed trusted source". Research everything. Uttimately you are responsible for the information you absorb, and share.

On the one hand, WLinux is for Win10. :<
On the other, no systemd! :D

we all love bowsette because she’s transition goals

Whenever you toot anything like 'the person reading this is cute and valid', always remember to reread it, because you're cute and valid too!

RT @intentionally@twitter.com: “Why do we need a ux designer?”

Interesting trivia: As high a limit as it is, there is actually a length limit on image captions here. I run out sometimes at 415 characters each & sometimes at 420 characters each.

eBay recommendations are weird. It recommended absolutely nothing Amiga for my A500 2MB RAM upgrade, but it recommended a whole bunch of Amiga stuff for my Timex Sinclair 1000 16KB RAM upgrade. It even recommended I buy a $8,000 SGI system because I bought an MS-DOS guide.

Mastodon Tips

Reporting in mastodon is not like reporting on birdsite. Your report isn't reviewed by a faceless employee of a giant corporation. Instead, your post is reviewed by your local moderation team that you can directly talk to. Your report helps them be aware of the kinds of content appearing on timelines on your instance and enables them to improve the mastodon experience for your instance!

I left the ZX81 alone in the kaleidoscope program, and after the same long delay, it started the weird colors again. I turned the TV off and back on, and not only were the colors still there, the TV took most of a minute rolling, fading to & from static, alternately showing something & "no signal," to sync with the ZX81's signal again.

Now I've got to either dive into uncharted territory (the RF modulator) or look at a composite mod. Help & pointers appreciated.
