@KS don't use shampoo at all and get a color-safe conditioner

samantha is visiting and we live like 2 hours away from you, we could come visit or vice versa if you wanted to do anything together

@lizardsquid the short form is that we got the new license plate in the mail a week ago and the old one expired in march of 2016

@lizardsquid that sounds both terrible and terribly familiar since I had to run through similar to get my partner's car registration :/
@KS happy tomorrow, anyway! And an extra happy today, too!

@oneirofaerie for me, it's an incredibly and immediately obvious difference. If I so much as miss a single day it'll have very dramatic consequences. So probably the effect on you is smaller than it is on me, at least.
Good luck! I'm cheering for you!

@oneirofaerie I'm actually taking this myself and it's a very dramatic difference for me at least
Wizards of the Coast is raising funds for Lambert House, an LGBTQ charity, by selling rainbow-flag and MTG shirts:

Another collection notice just arrived in my friend's inbox for 2620.30 GBP, and she's also using overdraft funds to pay for food.

Any amount helps, but so does spreading word through any medium you can. Thanks once again.
@ThisQueerBashesBack@anarchism.space @enbyleninfan@social.wxcafe.net ok here's an anticapitalist position: what if the city of seattle institutes a tax per man-hour worked on corporations that make more than 20 million a year within their jurisdiction (including WotC), and earmark those funds to create low-cost housing for the homeless?
oh wait they're literally doing that http://money.cnn.com/2018/04/24/news/economy/seattle-homeless-tax-amazon/index.html
(yes I'm aware this example is democratic socialism and not a real communist solution, but it's better than starving queer youth)
@ThisQueerBashesBack@anarchism.space Is that Hasbro's problem?
Again, I'm not seeing what specifically you want them to do instead. Do you not want them to fund an advertising campaign for the charity?
Like, I give 20% of my income to pay poor trans girls' rents. We can both play the "individual responsibility" card. So what.
Without this campaign you wouldn't have known about Lambert House and Lambert House wouldn't have received the money and attention they're currently getting.
@ThisQueerBashesBack@anarchism.space …they do make donations on their own. It's called "employee matching".
This is a campaign that not only raises awareness of the charity but creates an influx of cash for that charity. Yes, the money isn't Hasbro's, but without Hasbro's involvement you wouldn't have donated to this charity, would you? and Hasbro isn't making any money from the transaction, just advertising and goodwill.
