Your meds are there to help you, but they can't do that if you aren't taking them. So, if you're putting it off, why don't you take a quick break and go take them?

@hierarchon Let's see here... better support for cluster computing (Plan 9 started in the right direction with its networked filesystem), gopher being the main web protocol rather than http (http still being used, just...less), and an assumption that everything will be networked one day, so we better think about security *now* rather than kick the can down the road for *later*

Incidentally, also in things I just realized, I forgot to buy baking powder while I was at the store yesterday. This isn't important, but I still thought I'd mention it.

Seriously, I thought stuff like Cheetos or chocolate chip cookies were gonna be the hard part, figuring out that they contain animal products and all. I didn't expect myself to be so dense as to forget that eggs and butter are absolutely not vegan. Like, since I've got 'em, I'm gonna use 'em, but, like...for fuck's sake, me. How do you do something like that?!

So, based on some Satanist principles of mine, I've been trying to go vegan. You wanna know how *that's* gone?

While at the store yesterday, I bought almond milk...alongside *eggs* and *butter*. And I do mean butter. Not margarine. Not vegetable oil spread. Butter, made with cow's milk and everything.

It only *just* occurred to me that that was something that happened.

I thought this would be hard from products I didn't realize weren't vegan, and yet even obviously non-vegan stuff is hard wtf

We may need to set up a system of secondary fronting, as all the headmates who aren't fronting tend to exist in the same physical space as our physical body. We may need to find some way to allow only one permanent to exist in the physical space, while the other(s) exist in some new headspace.

And, of course, I put quotes around permanent as, clearly, they aren't, well, permanent. But they're the headmates that stick around in my day to day life, rather than coming and going within a few days.

So, we're pretty sure we're plural and we think we've figured out how our system works. I won't go into details, but I will say it only really works with only one "permanent" headmate and any number of transient headmates. This is problematic as one of my previous permanents (Jade) is trying to return, but my current permanent (Miles) is showing no signs of leaving. We may need to spend some time sorting this mess of a system out.
