I think anyone who knows me in the slightest should know that I am 100% for doing "cringy" stuff, but one specific thing that upsets me is the trope of making fun of someone's fursona

It just feels so unnecessarily mean. Making fun of someone's appearance is bad enough but it's arguably worse when it's something they have _chosen_ and _made_ and put effort and creativity into and, in some cases, represents what they wish they looked like

Lowe's didn't have any two-prong polarized plug, so it's a 3-prong without the ground pin connected, which is probably bad, but I'm more concerned about making sure the switch I installed is switching across live, so I'll take this.

  • Installed fire extinguisher in kitchen
  • Installed smoke/CO alarm in my room
  • Replaced plug on soldering iron with "polarized" plug

I specifically mean "easier" as in "when something happens, I know why and how to fix it" rather than "it works with little time investment"

Especially compared to Windows. When something breaks in Windows I don't think I have ever been able to properly fix it without a full reinstall

I get that Arch requires a lot of doing things yourself but if you have the time and energy I have actually found it significantly _easier_ to use that other distros, exclusively because of how comprehensive the wiki is

Things I find amusing about SI units: The mole was originally defined by Avagadro's number—~6×1023 items. We tried to redefine it based on something physical—the number of atoms in 12 grams of carbon-12. We have now come back to our senses and once again define it by it's original definition, just more precisely. No other base unit is like this. They have new fancy definitions. But the mole is as it's always been: Avagadro's number.
