Happy new year!
Death
You might've already guessed from the CW, but, unfortunately, we had to put Shadow down. I'd hoped she'd get better, but she didn't. Sadly, she got to the point she couldn't even get up under her own power. I'm gonna miss her.
I wrote up a short blog post about her as a way to help preserve her memory:
Mind you, that's not to say she's got that much life left in her. She's 16 and everyone seemed quite amazed about that fact. But she's at least got a little left, so there's that
Incidentally, the dog's doing better. She's 16 and her hips have been giving her trouble, so we took her to the vet today. Mom was worried they'd say we have to put her down. But, they gave her a shot of steroid and, 15 minutes later, she already seems more lively than she did. So, it's looking like Shadow's gonna be okay
