neat, Cave Story works on my old comp (i mean it should!)

it'd be nice if the motherboard for my old comp had an AGP slot because then I could use the other video card i have sitting around

everything FM except for the drums

it's a nice sound tbqh

these two have similar color palettes in the sense one is a hue shift of the other lmao

would be difficult to do anything in the kitchen with that massive tail of hers

lol could you imagine my shark sona working at a fast food place

nsfw

really consindering finally going through with that idea of having my shark have no balls just like me

or at least have that be another variation of her uwu

that said this was started back in 2010 and I had very little idea of what I was getting into

the bullet hell was hilariously bad tho

mspaint graphics that sucked

there was also an annoying coding bug that made you shoot the level 2 bullets along with level 3 (which I did eventually fix but I forget how... i'm bad at coding and game maker wasn't great for it either)

it was otherwise ok, but far from done (the last version was like v0.1.1.3 or some shit)

long post

that first idea was arguably a lot like sm64, never took off

the first RPG idea was definitely based on a bunch of final fantasy games, had a ton of character designs that I still have around somewhere

the 2d platformer (which actually became a playable demo) was similar to Cave Story

bullet hell's influence should be obvious (also had a playable demo)

second RPG was damn near complete gameplay-wise (rpg maker lmao), but had a very incomplete story

now I just don't know

Show thread

the video game idea i've had sitting around for years went through so many different iterations that it's pretty far from its original state

3d platformer -> RPG (kinda JRPG style) -> 2d platformer -> bullet hell -> RPG again -> I don't know anymore
