I don't really celebrate Xmas but my love does and their partners family is white. I'm helping cook for Xmas meal I'm doing potatoes au gratin. I gotta peel all the potatoes and chop up the onion real small so some people don't notice cause they like onion taste but think they don't like onions. And no real spices, I'm pushing it with goat cheese, chives and marjoram. :blobsleepless: :blobfacepalm: ancestors forgive me!

I love CDs as much as the next guy, but every single person who’s like “buy physical media, digital is temporary!” can be very easily worked around by simply hosting a local server

“what if it’s not on streaming?” it’s on my local server

“what happens when spotify stops existing” it’s on my local server

“what if your hard drive dies” it’s got parity. i can just restore it (and I have off-site backups!)

physical media is great but having digital isn’t inherently worse, and a lot of the perceived benefits of physical media are really only relevant if you don’t have a robust digital solution in place

i love CDs but you’re gonna have to do some real work to convince me they’re more convenient than my unraid box
