USPol, Government Shutdown, Military Without Pay, Trump's Shutdown
Is it depressing that this Shutdown almost become the Norm news wise for me? Because honestly with how long it has gone on, hard to see it as anything but the new status-quo.

Expect more LGBT+ people to come here, if this is true.

If revolution results only in a change of dictatorship, then it is hardly worth while.
-- Emma Goldman
The most extreme example of abusing Jewish culture for magic I've seen in the media is, in one show (I can't remember which), they used the fucking Sh'ma as a magic incantation. That's an extremely important holy passage in Judaism.
If you are not Jewish, it is not your place to decide how to use our symbols. Especially with the context of Jewish people being persecuted (sometimes as witches) for having different practices. It's really tasteless and ignorant. Please don't.
Magic users and people making visual representations of magic: please, please be aware of the origin and meaning of the symbols you use.
It happens Way too much that I see Hebrew letters or six-pointed stars used in representations of magic and it makes me really angry. Those are not magical symbols any more than a cross is magical or latin letters are magical. These are ancient symbols, yes, but not mystical. They belong to a living culture. They have a mundane meaning and purpose.
