today in white liberalism: a bunch of them are attacking a young Palestinian woman for saying she didn't want Chelsea Clinton or her war criminal family's condolences for the Christchurch attack because of their complicity in islamophobia regarding Ilhan Omar
they don't seem to get that they're shutting out her opinion just to look after some random white woman who *actively contributed* to islamophobic sentiment towards a muslim senator

It'd be fucking nice if people stop referring to popular people being criticized on social media for their "mistakes" as "witch hunts" because that's hot how the power dynamics fucking works. "Witch hunt" is an example of institutionalized punishment of marginalized people. Popular people are social capitalists. The equivalent would be angry peasants guillotine their king.
