But my favorite bad video game romance story is that on my first run through DA2 (my first time playing any story rich RPG tbh), I flirted with Anders a couple times because 1) jokes and 2) cats. Then he gave me his "we shouldn't date because I'm doomed and it'll be a tragic romance where we break each other's hearts" spiel. My immediate response was "dude, I complimented you like 1 time, I wasn't proposing." So I took him seriously and went on to date Merrill instead.
