@J I was in this position. If possible it’s always better to defer rather than push yourself and burn out. If your uni has disability services then talk to them about what concessions you can get for mental health

@J if it's not something you 100% see yourself enjoying/benefiting from I would say don't do it

if there's something you really enjoy doing there's no rule saying you can't sink your time in that instead, and that can apply to anything
sex work, writing, music, learning a trade, experimenting with new things

uni definitely isn't the end-all-be-all and spending a year on personal growth is a super good call if u feel u need it
