In this case, this org asks participants to *use that wording* in any presentations they give. It's their branding.

Which... is pretty creepy in itself. I'm betting most of the infosec people just thought it's like their Dad trying to be cool, roll their eyes, and use the wording. But then, infosec is largely cis straight white dudes.

Yeah. Also, the term "dox" was used.

As in "'scuse me while I dox myself...". That's a plenty loaded term because of the *chans and the alt-right.

There's a difference between knowing you could be surveilled and having a cop parked on the corner near your house that you walk by every day. Take your infosec nihilism elsewhere.
