new idea: combine cute pet names with tough words

Lol I forgot about Crona for a half second, that's my bad, they have the only named and onscreen mother of the main characters in the main series, Medusa Gorgon

maybe not, but most of the main characters have a Father, with a name, and a face (or father-like figure with Death the kid)

Add that with Medusa being a villain, it creates a patriarchy atmosphere, which def isn't "gender equal" >:\

before I get swamped with comments we've got

Maka's unnamed mother who's referenced a bit as being another lady scythe-meister in the beginning of the series, but is never shown and doesn't have a name

Black ⭐ Star's unnamed mother, deceased

Death the kid is more of a person shaped god than a normal human

Soul has a brother and a Grandma

Patty & Liz have an unnamed mother

Tsubaki has an unnamed mother

so 🤷

not saying I think Soul Eater is perfect, but uhh..."equal representation of genders" is false 💢
