last retoot, 16bit time travel anime is pretty good *so far*, but I am still very hesitant to recommend it because we're on ep 2

at least perfume ads are consistently weird

we sure as hell couldn't figure out smell-o-vision, but we did figure out a group of aesthetic tropes that somehow get people to buy it lol

without a brand named or listed:
*Natural Diamonds
*Beef

with a brand mentioned:
*the concept of celebrating birthdays (grocery store chain)

another no-brand concept ad: Natural Diamonds (are the best diamonds)

I know better, and I get these aren't *that* different from regular ads,

I'm just used to hearing or seeing a specific name at the end, so now it's a lot more obvious that it's, just, reinforcing pop culture ​

feels surreal watching ads selling a concept or tradition vs a product

not that a big chain grocery store name wasn't at the end, but this ad was for birthday parties

like the concept of celebrating birthdays

Anyway, got a protein drink after exercising, feel like I've leveled up in jock/gym rat lol

feel like if y'all looked at me the just the right angle you could call my current hair style/length a Rocky (movie character) haircut lolol

There's like a 1-10% chance the rec center receptionist remembers me AND thinks I'm cool
