i start at 7 so i have to wake up at fucking 5am every goddamn day, and for what. i could be at home sleeping

as a former barista it feels ludicrous to complain about having downtime at work of all things but genuinely i fucking hate it. i hate feeling like im wasting time

and because of this, kids end up with virtually no support network. there are no adults in their lives to protect them, or explain to them that what theyre experiencing isnt normal.

i could write an essay on the normalization of abuse in midwestern families. it goes undetected most of the time because theres so much stigma against “getting involved” in the business of others and a general culture of confrontation avoidance that even if other people know what is going on they wont do anything. because its a cardinal sin to “rock the boat” in any way, so to speak

@popsikul not thinking or simply not caring, for sure. i know that at least in the midwestern area that i’m from, generational trauma is so interwoven in the social fabric that it is hardly even questioned. it’s very “my parents treated me like shit so now i think its normal and im going to treat my kids like shit” sort of thing

my parents used to take away my phone + laptop whenever they got angry at me, essentially cutting me off from all social contacts and my one and only lifeline if i were in danger (well. More danger i guess)

@skelltan tbh i know next to nothing about the gameplay itself, ive mostly been told negatives about the subscription service and how its a waste of money, etc
