@coda I had a Coda plush at one point but I'm thinking it was a bootleg? but they had a monophonic drum synth in their tum, and when I snuggled them, they sounded like a midi drum set being dragged around in a trash bag

@AzureHusky @poss_bot video games are a heck! there's something real draining and paradoxical about thinking of them as a commitment or an obligation (my brain says to me: "we spent this money, you better work real hard at taking some time to enjoy this!")

anyway tbh I enjoy it in a way that makes me glad I let it cut the line. I'm having to deal with a lot of Big Cishet Energy rn and it's a good escape

seriously though, trans artists, even before they realize they are, can make some of the best art. there's something there that is hard to state but I can feel.

@chuxen@queer.party wooo yeeeeeeah! i have to admit, drawing mostly myself for almost a year has been therapeutic. sometimes this can feel a bit self-centered, but it's good. one common thing is just, lots of us feel like we've seldom prioritized ourselves. it can feel like it's not ok to. it is definitely ok to!

(i'm always open to honest questions and vents about transness + nonbinaryness and things) also this is a really good community!

also, heck, if i take a break from drawing, it usually feels like i'm a little better when i come back. drawing has also been a great way to visualize myself 💖

@poss_bot ok i love "orthogonal" because the way i (and many people) would visualize gender is as a straight line, and i just feel so far off from that, like if something can be orthogonal in n dimensions related to that line, yes

more to the point sometimes concepts from other things (math, space, music) do a better job of explaining gender than anything else and i think other people around feel that too

@AzureHusky @chuxen@queer.party the parents, thankfully, are not making gendered choices or pushing anything. everyone else in the fam tho: "look how tall he is! i bet he'll be great at basketball!" (so hard to not retort with "not with those stubby fingers" x3)
