I think the "Read More" button is meant to get the use to enable JavaScript. Some users disable JavaScript for privacy reasons until the user initiates a script themselves. So, the "Read More" button runs a script that loads the rest of the content, but doing this allows the page's tracking scripts and advertising scripts to run too. The content doesn't load unless the host can make money off of it.

@Sempf @Gabrielle Former /r/wordle mod here. You need starting words for Wordle? I researched those! RAISE, SOARE, AROSE, SANER, and SLATE are my top picks for normal play. Hard Mode players can avoid traps by using SLICE, BRACE, CRANE, TRICE, and CRATE.

I'm glad I finally get to help my instance admin for a change, but now I wait for the infosec community to pwn me through three unprotected header cells on a Google Sheet.

@lichess Nasty move! After this puzzle, black's only hope is underpromoting to knight on e1=N+. It's still an awful situation for black, since the Rd4# mate could happen just about anytime if black makes another mistake.

@Kyoyeou If you like escapism, consider !imaginarydirectory@lemm.ee 's listings. It'll get really interesting once @Martineski remakes his communities that used to be on lemmy.fmhy.ml. If join the Imaginary Network myself if I didn't post videos and real-life examples of floating sometimes.

Lemmy and Kbin are new and buggy, but I embrace the jank and work around it. I actually had to reply to you with my Mastodon account here because it didn't work the first time. It gets better. Don't give up!

@Kyoyeou The Fediverse is still young and it needs your help to balance all the negativity it attracts. You've got to contribute content to the Fediverse yourself. I wanted to see more stuff that floats in the air and that community didn't exist, so I made my own subreddit and then my own Kbin community.

You might have seen my !FloatingIsFun@fedia.io in recent months when a Lemmy bug gave it more exposure than it probably deserved. I try my best to make Floating Is Fun interesting to follow.

@jerry Not a problem; it's OK. If you hadn't borked fedia.io, that would mean you're not trying hard enough to improve it. I think fedia.io is in good hands.

Joshua Tree National Park is probably a lot more fun when you can fly. If you're flying around with angel wings with a lot of noisy birds, try to be mindful of witches silently levitating there.

(Reposting got weird this time. My first attempt double-posted, and when I deleted one of them, the other one's image got deleted too. So, here's another attempt.)

@FloatingIsFun @ChatGPT Is it possible to start a thread on a Kbin magazine from a Mastodon account? My first attempt failed. I'm afraid to use my Kbin account because Lemmy thinks everything I post there comes from two hours in the future.

The Aquatope on White Sand site

Title: The Aquatope on White Sand poster

Artist: Yuki Akiyama

It's Kukuru and Fuuka from the P.A. Works anime Aquatope on White Sand. I don't know what an aquatope is, but I guess it's the part of an aquarium that you can swim around in if you work there. Looks good.

Hello, Mastodon people! I have a Kbin account and I mostly use that now. Fedia.io is the second-largest Kbin instance, run by the founder of infosec.exchange.

The bigger deal is that Reddit is self-destructing much like Elon Musk Twitter. I don't think Reddit is going to recover from this.

So, I'm moving my subreddit into Kbin too! I'm not done posting floaty things yet! At least Fedia wants to fix their problems.

Oh hey, you're both in the middle of the Venn diagram where New York City and anime podcasting overlap. Have Turtleboat's fan art of Kiki's modern food delivery service in Flatiron. Enjoy! Everyone else, pick out the other Ghibli references.

CrystalForce & NutellaFrenchToast – The Concept of Plastic Love

Sometimes, SiIvaGunner's crack team of mashup artists goes beyond the memes and makes something that's really good on its own. This one combines Hideki Naganuma's The Concept of Love from Jet Set Radio Future, Mariya Takeuchi's Plastic Love from YouTube recommendations, and a few other songs. This was made for the final round of SiIvaGunner's King for Another Day Tournament, which DJ Professor K won.

XVIII became playable in an update in August 2022, along with ZHUZH and about 2,000 other questionable plays.

Here's my analysis of all 14,855 playable words. SLICE and RAISE are the best.
