I don't get why their preferred name system changes your name everywhere... except on the rolls

@lizardsquid i had to go through a while rigamarole about that until the staff decided to just go ahead and straight up change my name on my records
which is good but
if i don't have it legally changed by the time i graduate, that'll be a fun kerfuffle
