board games

@BatElite it's a special board – you can easily clean it off with a tissue

(it's completely clean right now, we erased it shortly after I took the photo)

Today I bought Lunar Rails, and we played it!

It's really fun, although it takes 3–6 hours

@wobin that's fair, I wasn't particularly clear

@wobin How so?

If I play a game from 2003, then the next randomly chosen game could be in 2018 (the most recent game I own), or in 1990 (the oldest game I own)

But what I'm going to do is: The first game I play will be Portal, and then every game after that will be random, with the constraint that each subsequent game must have been released at least 5 years before or 5 years after the game I just played.

eventually I'm going to use this list for Avery Plays Averything, the Lets Play series I want to start where I play through every game I own.

I had thought that maybe I should play them in order of release, but that means I'd be starting the show with 4 games I don't particularly care for, so it would probably be horrible.

gods I'm so boring... instead of playing games, I'm sitting here making lists

today I entered all* of the games I own into a database, with various details about them, so I can sort them by when they were released or when I bought them or by name or whether I've played them.

*only including PC games, and not including the games I have on disc (all of those were left at my parents' home, so I'd have to go get them to know what they are)

@chao I usually walk in time to my music.

This is a problem when a lot of my music is in odd time signatures like 7/8 or 27/16
