@boobs_idiot@octodon.social ohhhh my gosh, yes!

Hey folks, sorry to be a pain in the arse, but @pupper and I are still around £450 short on being able to make rent and pay bills this month (see my pinned toots for more details on the situation.) It's looking like we're gonna have to cancel a bunch of direct debits and go into arrears on stuff. Please boost and help if you can. #transcrowdfund #fuckDWP

@devurandom@cybre.space yeah, I realised this after giving it more than a few seconds of thought

@devurandom@cybre.space it appears that I'm wrong about landscape pages – when people in china invented books, they used similar page proportions to modern books.

@devurandom@cybre.space on the other hand, though, I think books would probably be differently shaped if they originally came from a society that had vertical text — more landscape pages, possibly? — and that would influence the way people designed technology

@devurandom@cybre.space although status bars would probably be vertical too, so the same tricks apply

@devurandom@cybre.space that's ok!
I think it's a good thought

@devurandom@cybre.space (was this meant to be a reply to my post?)

In just a few days, right after I finish tabling at Play Fare this Saturday, you'll be able to purchase the Tome of Rites and Rituals, a roleplay aid filled with evocative descriptions of magical ceremonies from a strange land. It's a good read.

I would love to see the alternate universe where top-to-bottom in columns going left to right writing systems dominate, where wikipedia looks like this:
