@Tattooed_mummy @AlexisBushnell I mean, then there's no way for me to spend the money. Whenever you spend money, that's going to someone else - hence benefitting them. Even if they're the most evil person in the world!.

The purchases I'm imagining are all self-centred: getting myself a nice place to live, making sure I don't run out of money and have to go hungry again, buying nice clothes etc

It's just that regular donations are something I already do, and I'm not going to stop doing.

@Tattooed_mummy I would keep it, because with that money I'd be able to much improve my life and put myself into a much more stable situation.

And then from that stable situation, I would be able to more easily contribute to causes on a month by month basis from my own income.
