my uni does a combined maths class of half calculus and half algebra, and I failed it 4 times because the lecturers failed to teach me basic calculus and it felt so pointless

in order to control your emotions, you need to have willpower
it took us a long time to figure out what willpower actually is, though: a lot of early hypothesises were that it's a skill, or a talent.
but repeated tests have shown that willpower is actually a limited resource that you have, and basically the only way to increase it?
