(obviously because I'm sick I didn't actually get that much done, but it's nice to have a few things written out)

conlang (Wụúgụ), positive (mention of physical health)

A couple of months ago I lost a bunch of my work on my conlang, and I haven't really felt motivated to work on it properly.

But today, I woke up feeling awful and had to take the day off work, and I managed to get back into it!

I still lost the historical sound changes that I put a lot of work into originally, but a fair amount of the language thoughts that were just in my brain for a long time are now in a document!

(I)ntensional / (E)xtensional
(N)ominal / (S)tructural
(T)arski / (F)raenkel

TAS, an idea

I had an idea: a Peggle TASwhich is intentionally designed to be as unsatisfying as possible - the ball just *barely* misses things, or is really close to getting a cool trick shot but then just gets stuck or something

@rnd do they even provide a service with the app, or is it literally just solitaire with ads?

@Tattooed_mummy unfortunately it does not seem to have sufficient settings to do what I want - I want a sound to play at specifically these times:
09:50
13:50
18:00

With blip blip's options, you can set something like "chime on the hour between 10am and 7pm", but I can't find anything that would let me have it only happen 3 times a day at specific times I set.

(It is possible that these features are only in the next update - I have opted in to the beta, so once I receive that I can check)

@Tattooed_mummy that can play every hour, but I want to be able to schedule things at (say) 3 specific times of day.

:boost_ok:
are there any android apps that allow you to play a chime or some kind of sound at a specific time?

I want the sound to just play once and then stop.

re: programming

I then extended the idea further to like... a programmable data soup.

So instead of it being functions embedded in a spreadsheet, it's a programming environment where spreadsheets are embedded inside it

programming

I have had this idea for a program for ages, but I don't think I'm ever going to be able to make it.

The idea started out as a spreadsheet app, but where the formulas are based on haskell/lambda calculus - crucially:
* the syntax is much nicer than excel's standard.
* first class functions abound - you can pass functions to other functions. You can put a function in a cell without applying it, and then later use that function against values elsewhere.

little-known fact, but PHP is actually short for "please headpat". because the programmers who have to deal with the language need it

I want endless "watching silly videos" time as well as endless "getting things done" time
