discussion of transphobic jokes

@Cybertrash oh right! I got confused, sorry

discussion of transphobic jokes

@Cybertrash oh it wasn't a specific thing, it was just not the kind of comedy I can focus on (because I have attention issues)

@witchfynder_finder at a place I worked at, I tried to tell my boss that it was a slur after he used it, and he was just like "oh, there's a difference between romani and THE WORD", I'm only talking about THE WORD

discussion of transphobic jokes

@Cybertrash oh I've seen the umbilical brothers, they're really good

I didn't like sammy J that much, but that was just a personal thing

and I really wanted to see "Please Like Me", but my parents are homophobic and I'm still living with them

You are not _really_ doing your homework unless you are making a DSL for it. 👌

discussion of transphobic jokes

@posit@chitter.xyz it was just the whole "men in women's clothing" joke - it's not awful, but I don't really like it...

So there's very little likelyhood this'll actually get seen by any of the current influx of people coming in off of Twitter, but I wonder what their initial reactions are to any of our other deliberate design differences are? Like, the only-hashtags searching, the no quoting, etc.?

discussion of transphobic jokes

@Cybertrash do you have any favourites?

discussion of transphobic jokes, a link to a video (CW for video in toot)

@posit@chitter.xyz Aunty Donna

This is the video that made me laugh a bunch but then made me upset: youtube.com/watch?v=VeAJ9U5nbV

CW for video: transphobia, yelling, food
