I get super frustrated with people who think that D&D is some kind of grand story-telling game, and that all RPGs are like D&D.

Because it's not a storytelling game. It's a combat simulator, with some light storytelling elements.

...I wonder how many people have been pushed away from storytelling games by their first experience with them being a crunchy combat game...

a problem I always have with syncthing is that at some point during set up both of the devices that I'm trying to sync will say the other one is disconnected, and I have no idea how to make them connect again

I need to figure out how to backup my photos... they're on my phone, but the cable thing on my phone is breaking and I don't trust it for transferring files

of course this actually makes sense - it's a standard for writing only:

So Bokmål is "officially" pronounced the way you would pronounce it.(usually [ˈbuːkmɔːl] according to wikipedia)

"Bokmål (literally "book tongue") is an official written standard for the Norwegian language, alongside Nynorsk. Unlike for instance the Italian language, there is no nationwide standard or agreement on the pronunciation of Bokmål."

I can't believe there's a standard for a language.... that has no standard for the pronunciation of its own name

I'm still thinking about The Keys of Marinus.

Because in the context of "all stories told"? It's kinda bad. Like.... quite bad.

But it's also the best example of the stories being told in Season 1, so if you said "I can only watch one story from this season", I'd say "The Keys of Marinus", regardless of its many flaws

The Gunfighters :: Yes → Maybe
I ranked this higher because I had fond memories, but they didn'thold up to reality

The Savages :: Yes → Maybe
While it was an entertaining watch, it also positioned the Doctor as inherently more "moral"

I went back through the first 4 seasons, and choosing to re-rank a few of them:

The Reign of Terror :: Yes → Maybe
It's really not that good, and I'm unsure why I ranked it so highly in the first place

The Crusade :: Yes → Maybe
As I was scrolling through the list, I realised that I had forgotten this story even existed - any story that forgettable is not worth a "Yes" (even if it does have one of the best acted scenes from the early show)
