I think my days of compulsive lying are well behind me now

but I still have some behavioural remnants

I still phrase things in such a way that I *could* use them to manipulate someone into believing what I want them to believe

and sometimes it takes me several seconds to answer simple questions, because I'm trying to fight the urge to lie by default
