I know I've got a few anticapitalist followers: do any of you know a good place to introduce people to socialist stuff? Marx's stuff is super outdated and puts people on a slightly wrong track, but it's the only thing I ever see people recommending to newcomers

LB: I read the communist manifesto about a year and a half ago, because I was introduced to communism by a bunch of maoists, and I then spent around 8 months spouting stupid nonsense.

I stopped doing that when I looked into communism/socialism/etc that takes into account the situation we're in right now, instead of the situation europe was in 2 centuries ago

The Voynich manuscript has been decoded. Turns out it's an early draft of My Immortal.

I guess it is early morning for a lot of the people in the group, though...

I posted a draft of something I spent a lot of time on to a group I'm in, and nobody responded at all...

I'm just thinking about the recent dr who series (like, all of it, since the 9th dr) and realising that Donna was the only companion who was treated well *at all* by the writers.

LB: those are my thoughts - if it could be made equitable, opt-in, and themed, rather than based on popularity metrics, recommendations would be cool!

if follow reqs were opt-in and you could submit yourself to several themed pools (art, tech, wizardry, sex work, frogs, etc) and it was totally random or favoured people with fewer followers, never showed you people you blocked or muted, etc, that'd be cool

hey uh, if I ever interact with you in a way that makes you uncomfortable/upset/etc, you can let me know! you're more important than whatever stupid toot I'm making...

actually, I'm gonna do a bunch of simple haskell challenges now, but they all have to be point free

And then there was a shampoo spill in the garage. Cleaned up. My garage floor has never had such luxurious hair.

PSA: If you see police doing something that's not really OK, take a video of it and share it as far and wide as you can. It's the best thing we as individuals can do to keep police accountable for their actions.

FUCK

I spilt days old leftover coffee on my pizza and now it tastes gross

Does anyone know who coined / the origins of the phrase "fully automated gay space luxury communism"?
