subtoot, transphobia, spinning a sad thing into a happy thing

When I came out* to the group of friends I had 4 years ago, they spent all their time insulting and making fun of me, and eventually exiled me from being friends with them.

Which sucks, but... it means that when I met new people and started making new friends, I just told them my actual name, instead of my deadname, so the only people who deadname me at the moment are my family

hrrrggggg

this reading is so hard, because I already know basically all of it, but I need to read the whole chapter to answer this week's questions

"Why don't I hang around with those guys anymore, I used to love those guys!"

holy shit nostalgia poisons my judgement so hard these are terrible people

Alright, orders closed! I'll try to get everything y'all asked for.

bye, love you!

it's midnight, so I'm gonna go to the land of dreams.

Anyone want anything?

btw, if it weren't for open source and especially copyleft enthusiasts totally driving the 3d printing movement from the beginning, we'd have none of this.

Instead it would be a glut of mutually-incompatible rent-seeking "model stores" crowing about how beneficent they are for "creating a marketplace" (in which they get a cut of all transactions)

Show thread

Drag queens are (Trans)misogynistic because the whole point of their "entertainment" is centered around stereotypical feminine things and making fun of it which differs a lot from a performer that is a women where the whole point of the show isn't emphasing how "funny" or "bizzare" feminine clothing is or a man wearing the clothing. If a cis guy is wearing feminine clothing because he likes looking cute it doesn't make him a drag queen either as there is no exploitation or attempting to be funny

@lizardsquid my girl, this dinner is what all true warriors strive for
