From our experience it's possible to end up in a state that's indistinguishable from laying motionless in bed, except that your senses are open to being manipulated. We tend to imagine full body movement, such as a rocking motion, to test this. If we get there, then engaging our imagination in pretty much any way will initiate a lucid dream. (Lately we imagine being upright and falling over for that part.)

Visualization progress: when one shape is partially obscured by another, we can now sort of see an outline of where the obscured part of the shape might be, as if it's a subtle difference in lighting. -Nikki

I can now play "block faker" in game mode on my steam deck (via ruffle.js), and I've set up custom assets for it.

I have gotten way too into SteamGridDB. First just idly wondering if some game has artwork and browsing, now making my own custom artwork for an obscure game. I'm actually having fun making the silly menus look nice. -Cole

It's so much better. I'm not accidentally hitting buttons I don't intend to. There's actual resistance which makes it much easier to release buttons (doesn't require actively lifting toes). I'm actually making the inputs I intend (on my right foot at least), and it makes it so much easier.

@hollie FWIW, we're quite certain that we'd be different when speaking Japanese because we have a specific headmate who handles that. Although, sadly, we don't know enough Japanese yet for her to really express herself. -Autumn

Seems like internally asking "what would this look like if we could visualize it well?" is resulting in better visualization than the direct approach. -iore
