mastodon needs a way to delete DMs sent to you

i wonder what kind of humongous software blunder allowed someone i have blocked to DM me

i also wonder how that person could've possibly thought i'm suddenly ok with them

so apparently while i was away mainline mastodon implemented post editing because uhh i guess delete and redraft wasn't enough and just as a psa those edits do not propagate to instances running older/incompatible software if they already fetched the original post
