The current chaos in WordPress caused by Matt seems like a good time to remind folks that the Mastodon “community” websites and trademarks are 100% owned by one man, despite pleas from current and former project members to make Mastodon a foundation with a board.

here’s an amazing tutorial series for creating websites. it’s simple too!
htmlforpeople.com
“HTML isn’t only for people working in the tech field. It’s for anybody, the way documents are for anybody. HTML is just another type of document. A very special one—the one the web is built on.”
everyone needs to know this. it’s empowering.

@apzpins also i would like a camera that does not spend battery into heat through the incessant wheelspinning of android

@apzpins i have the paid version of ip webcam pro, i'm well adept at using phones as pc cameras. it's great and physically unwieldy and i do not have a phone for which it can use the wide lens on it (i have already emailed the developer asking for this feature without an answer)

@WarmasterPalak there are at least half a dozen models under the "brio" name, which one do you have? does it have a wide angle lens?

@apzpins my phone sadly is not the size of a gopro and it does not have a tripod screw mount (cheap spring-loaded finger traps that accidentally hold down the power button half the time do not count)

I want a camera:
- Connecting to a computer to live stream
- With wide angle lens
- Good macro/close up auto focus
- With tripod screw mount
- Cheaper than 100 GBP

I wanted it to also be wireless but after wasting money on a GoPro which would fit the bill if it weren't for the fact you need a fucking subscription to stream with it, I can't find anything else like that, so I'll take wired if it must be.

Please send me recommendations or boost this post.

instead of hacking a non profit archival organization one could personally give matt mullenweg the world's largest wedgie

I made a histogram of wealth distribution in the United States, using the Forbes 400 list that just came out. Almost the entire US population is in the red line at the left, one pixel wide. To fit Elon Musk on the graph, each pixel is $500 million wide. In other words, from the perspective of the very rich, $0 and $500 million look the same.
