@maddiefuzz i prefer corruption to be consensual and sandboxed, not potentially irreparably caused by power failure

is there a rehab for like tracker musicians who got sexually harassed out of the only communities that they knew and aren't good enough musicians to participate in big demoscene parties so now they're just sad and alone because they don't have anybody to make music with/for

@tubetime ahh, i wasn't sure which part happened were, was just using "fab" as a catch-all term for the end product being manufactured, thanks for the insight!

So there is a (IMHO) shady market out there that gives app developers on iOS, Android, MacOS and Windows money for including a library that sells users network bandwidth. Infatica [1] is just one example, there are many more.

I am 99% sure that these companies are behind the effective DDoS attacks many webmasters have to deal with since months. This business model should simply not exist. Apple, Microsoft and Google should act.

@bea you posting this right after i yawned feels interestingly creepy. which camera did i forget to turn off this time

it's 2025 and kids still think you'll immediately get ten thousand viruses if you tell someone your ip address

@tubetime would it have made sense to have a fab produce that, or is that something that's a common by-product/dummy run/defective packages that happens often in chip fabs, and they just labelled it? do you think there's a chance it's rejected completely unrelated defective chips just relabeled?

i'm deathly curious to see a decap of one of those fake writeback pc chips cache from the 90s that weren't routed to anything on the motherboard

@tubetime @kenshirriff ?

actually did you know famicon was sharp's family convection oven first and the family computer was never called famicom for legal reasons until sharp and nintendo came to an agreement and that's how you have the sharp twin famicom and why nintendo got to call the sequel super famicom
