The "skip intro" button on streaming services should know the meter of the theme song so it can cleanly skip a whole number of bars.

@andrewt one of the most fondly remembered ephemera by our polycule is when we were watching st:tng and the skip-intro button produced a perfect "[Patrick Stewart voice] Space-- [cut to resolving fanfare] dun dun dun dun"

@suricrasia i have a 2016 samsung tab a6 with s-pen and i really like it, any newer model with s-pen probably would be good

it's just wacom penabled so some other wacom styluses will work on it too like the older tablet thinkpads

i wanted a more permanent solution to the true RS232 to USB adapter my panasonic RK-P400C typewriter plotter needed so i shoved everything as best as i could into a DB25 shell

@SDWolf not almost, seeing as though TI also made the speak n spell and they use the same LPC speech encoding chip

however in neither cases i would call LPC encoding speech synthesis seeing as though completely new sounds need to be encoded from real speech recordings first

it's more like a really clever method of sampling human speech

@NanoRaptor i do enjoy expandable systems being taken to their ridiculous extremes and i wish we had more of it in the world

i beg everybody who's rotating text in photoshop to change the antialiasing from sharp to smooth so that the letters' baseline isn't completely off-kilter like a ransom note

@mmu_man i am not in a mastodon instance that supports edits but thank you

@SeasonsChange there are trace repairing kits but yes in my case for this particular board i just ran all broken traces back with patch wires (you can see one in the top right corner of the second picture). thankfully there weren't that many
